The MSAR STG-556 is an American-made bullpup semi-automatic rifle produced by Microtech Small Arms Research (MSAR) from 2007 to 2015. Designed by Anthony Marfione, the STG-556 is a civilian clone of the Austrian Steyr AUG, created after the original patents expired. MSAR aimed to offer a U.S.-made alternative to the AUG, incorporating some modifications to appeal to American shooters.
